Jill obtained her formal teaching qualifications in 2008 with My Health Yoga, and has been a principle teacher at Inna Bliss Yoga since it was founded.
Her initial teaching style was Yin Yoga, which provided for a gentler, therapeutic and restorative style of practice, allowing for the consistent ease that Jill was seeking at the time. Whilst Yin yoga maintains the same goals and objectives as any other school of yoga, it directs the stimulation normally created in the asana portion of the practice deeper than the superficial or muscular tissues .
Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.
Suitable for almost all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our
muscles.
In her classes, Jill draws on her knowledge and experience in Yin yoga to allow for a practice that is balanced and holistic, as is compliments the more dynamic Yang elements she weaves in to strengthen, tone and empower.
Jill naturally and effortlessly brings her knowledge of, and love for yoga, dance and the healing arts to her classes with enthusiasm and grace; whilst emphasising integral principles of alignment, core strengthening, chakra balancing, mindful breathing practises and visualisations. Each class is taught with dedication, devotion and a sense of reawakening the inner god/goddess.
Jill’s classes provide students with ways and options to deepen their practice, whilst also ensuring beginners feel safe and confident to ease their way into yoga.
