Join Matt Mulcahy to delve further into the fundamentals of the headstand. Often referred to as the king of postures, Headstand (Sirsasana) can be an empowering inversion that, when practiced consistently, builds strength in the upper body and core. The aim of this workshop is to develop the fundamental skills needed to invert safely. You may or may not achieve the pose, however you will leave with the skills to move towards Headstand with greater detail, precision and awareness.
The full moon is a key time for manifesting and releasing. The Virgo full moon energy will illuminate where there is a lack of trust over our own power to nurture, protect and love ourselves on the inside and raise our inner vibration.
Taking Flight is all about becoming comfortable on your hands. Together we will activate and strengthen target muscles, explore alignment and body awareness to reduce stress on the wrists, and conquer the flight and fight response. This workshop is for all levels; for those beginning the focus will steer toward crow pose, for those progressing one leg crow, advanced transitions will be on offer.

An alignment based Hatha practice using props and walls to work with the relationship of hip and shoulder mobility in basic standing and backbend asanas. Finishing with some restorative meditation and music.
Starting the evening with a more traditional yin asana and then gently move towards a more restive and comfort based meditation with mantra and music. Then we’ll finish the practice with a more formal seated and guided meditation.
