THE RAMAYANA: Tales of Love, Reclamation and Reunion from the Ramayana

During this Friday evening, together we will be unpacking the key teachings from the Ramayana. One of the Tales embedded in the Great Epic called the Mahabharata, we will explore and discover how this ancient tale is still relevant to us today.

We will explore:
The 5 key characters/ archetypes in this Epic Myth that have served to Heal 1000’s, if not Millions, of people across the globe to find reunion with their Higher Selves, and reclaim lost parts of Themselves.
Discover ways to embody and develop an intimate ongoing relationship with these parts of us, and how this can facilitate ongoing healing.
Embrace the Humble Hero and Warrior, Hanuman, within us , that is the ultimate HERO within us that can battle our mental, emotional and physical “demons”, so that we can feel whole and complete.

Please bring a journal and pen and something comfortable to do some gentle movement in.

"This is one of my all time favourite myths and we’ll explore fun, playful and innovative ways to learn and remember the Ramayana and all its characters and lessons. I can’t wait to share this with you!’

Andrew Mournehis started his career as an Optometrist looking into the “Windows of the Soul”, before giving it all up, after facing a life threatening illness, to fulfill his dream to dance and see the world. This lead to an incredible opportunity to choreograph for Tina Turner on her 1996 ‘Wildest Dreams’ world tour to rave reviews. At the peak of his career, a knee injury and declining health forced him to return to Australia, where he became extremely unwell and sought out a healing path. He turned to Yoga to heal his heart, mind and body. He immediately fell in Love with the practice, studied vigilantly, and in 1999 began teaching yoga to packed classes.

Andrew went on to study Transpersonal Counselling, graduating from the Phoenix Institute of Australia in 2001. He had a very clear vision that his gifts and passions were best directed in the power of group, mythology and the potent healing energy that is exchanged in each other’s stories, both personal and Universal. Being an already well respected and established yoga teacher, he spent the next decade combining his love of Yoga with his passion for healing Transpersonal work to create Transformative spaces for his students and participants to heal and become more whole.

His unique teaching style is imbued with Heart and Soul, rich in Tantric Philosophy and his classes are filled with Inspiration, Storytelling, Mantra and the Spirit of the Divine.

His qualifications include:

Diploma Of Health in Yoga (CAE)
Senior Level 3 Certified Yoga Instructor With The Yoga Teachers Association (YTA)
Part Of The Teaching Faculty and Assessment Co-coordinator for Academy of Yoga Learning (Formerly known as The Advanced Diploma Of Yoga Teacher Training CAE) (2003 – 2017)
Lecturer at the Phoenix institute of Victoria (2010 – 2015)
Diploma of Transpersonal Counselling (Ikon Institute Of Victoria)
